A diary your cat writes.

Take a photo, or pick one you already have. Jade reads the mood in it and your cat says the rest — a line or two, the way a cat would bother.

Jade for Mac

A cat on your desktop that keeps your breaks.

Your cat lives along the Dock and the tops of your windows, and when it is time to rest, curls up on the break screen until you are done.

  • Lives on your desktop

    Walks the Dock, leaps between windows, rides the one you drag, and sleeps it off when tired.

  • Keeps a work–rest rhythm

    50 minutes of work and 5 of rest by default, with a warning before each break and a pause while you are away.

  • Knows when not to interrupt

    A due break waits during calls, while a Focus is on, or while the apps you choose are in front.

  • A break screen to rest on

    Every display covered in dark paper, the time left, and the cat asleep on a line that fills as the rest passes.

  • Your own cat

    Jade the cat keeps you company first. Turn your cat's photos and videos into a cat pack, and your cat moves in.

Releases are not notarised yet. The first time you open a copy from the DMG, allow it in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway. Homebrew and the Terminal line skip this step.

Your cat's diary stays yours.

  • In your iCloud

    Diary entries, cat profiles and mood corrections live in your own iCloud, not on our servers.

  • Photos only pass through

    A photo is analysed in transit to read the mood, and is never stored or logged.

Jade is a grey-brown Persian with a round face, small ears and a plume of a tail. The app was first made for him — his silhouette is still the icon, and he greets you until you add your own cat.
